Hi there
I entered D:\i386\winnt32.exe /cmdcons
After the files copied from CD the system hung there until reset an hour later!
Upon reboot windows 2000 could not start because the \system32\ntoskrnl.exe file is missing or corrupt. Is there a way to redirect the path or something?
Thank you, >^..^<
Brendan

Not clear on what you're actually doing...

Are you trying to install on a blank drive from D: (your CDROM?).

Hi there,

I tried unsuccessfully, to install the recovery console on the boot drive C: Where Win2k is installed and running. Now when I start the computer I have a choice: Win2000 Setup or Windows 2000 Professional.
I planned on using the recovery console to restore the system after a catastrophic error!

Thanks for the reply,
Brendan
