ntosknrl.exe lost & CPU question

i've just installed linux & when i try to start up win2k. i get a message saying ntoskrnl.exe os missing from the winnt\system32\ forlder. can any 1 pls send me a copy??. I think this will help & i'll not need to reinstall win2k. its taking a long time!!!
btw, any one using AMD thunderbird here?? hows it compared to intel's P3??

The message ntoskrnl.exe missing or corrupt usually indicates that the boot.ini file is pointing to the wrong partition. This is a common condition when you install another OS after you have NT or 2000 installed. You need to edit the boot.ini file. It is located on the root of the drive and is a hidden read only file so you will need to change the attributes on the file first. Do some research on ARC paths so you understand how the path in boot.ini should read...
