NTLR file missing

Dear All
A client of mine have got Windows 2000 Professional installed . It was working perfectly till yesturday but today when he started his computer ,he got "NTLDR file missing" message. System hasn't floppies or CDs inserted and harddisk is also detected by the system. Please tell me what should be done to avoid re-installation of windows .

Or change the BIOS, May be your PC is not compatible with Win2k. Depending what OS was running previously on the machine. The best thing would be to install 98 and then install Win2k converting it to NTFS.
