Hi all, Does anyone know how to authenticate for telnet with a different username / password combination from the windows account one is using? I'm using the XP telnet client for a W2000 server. Thanks, Wim

In Telnet Administration on the Windows 2000 Server there should be an authentication option where you can specify password, NTLM or both authentication. Set it to password only, and you will be prompted for a user name and password at each connection. You can then specify any permitted NT user account to logon through telnet.
