We had the ntkrnlmp.exe and error code 4 problem and we solved it like this: We changed the speed of the memory in BIOS. The current setting for memory speed was auto. Changing the speed to 266 helped for the error code 4, ntkrnlmp.exe cannot be loaded. HW configuration: ASUS A7V8X motherboard, AMD XP 2000+, Kingston 256MB DDR333.
