Hello,

System is W2K SP2. Recently, whenever I launch ntbackup.exe, process loads but control window does not display on desktop. (Therefore, impossible to interact with backup utility.) Killing process in TaskManager and relaunching results in same situation. Launching ntbackup.exe in SafeMode does not affect problem. Have searched everywhere, but can find no info on uninstalling or reinstalling ntbackup.exe in W2K. Have never encountered this kind of problem before, and have no idea where the problem lies. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

I got the same problem on computers running ARCserve or ArcserveIT, if this is your case, the only thing you have to do is stop the ARCserve engines
