hello all.
I'm about to migrate from NT4 DC to W2k SBS AD. I've figured the migratin is not that simple as I thought (thanks to MS) yet, I've got a clear plan on how it should go. Also, as a part of migration, I'm planning to upgrade from MS Exchange 5.5 to Exchange 2000 that is included in W2k SBS. Now with the steps of migration (see below) I am not sure at what point I should upgrade Ms Exchange:

- set up new BDC NT4
- promote it to PDC NT 4
- upgrade to w2k AD
- uprrade to w2k SBS AD

this leaves me with an Active Directory running on W2k SBS server. How do I migrate my Ms Exchange after all? I've rad about exmerge, using PST. Is there are easier way other than that?

Thanks,
Sergey

You are on the right track but you really need to use Exmerge. Exmerge the mailboxes from Exchange 5.5 to .pst files. Then move them to the NT 4.0 BDC before promoting. After upgrading to SBS 2000 with Exchange run exmerge again and import into Exchage 2k
