I have ran a backup and am unsure whether it has finished, i've looked at the report and it stops half way through. Is there an option anywhere which tells me that the backup is still running and if so, how do I stop it?

if you go into computer management , when your an admin, look under removable storage, then select the backup folder, there shoudl be a list of recent backups. look on the log, it will actually say backup comnpleted if it had, normally ms backup stops if it hits an error or other problem,so probably not.
