OS: win2k adv. server
CPU/Ram: 1.4ghz/4gb ram
Comment:

I am unable to map a drive to one of the 30 win2k advanced
servers on our network. The server is in an NT 4.0
domain, but we have to use local accounts to login
(security reasons). All of the local accounts are
identical across the board (same username and password).

We are able to map a drive to the other 29 servers with no
problem using this method.

When we try to map a drive to this 1 server, this is the
error msg we are getting..............

"Incorrect password or unknown username"

and prompts you to enter another username and password.

It works fine from some servers to homestead, but not others.

Does each W2K server have a machine account [server manager] on the NT box? Usually when you get this message its due to not having the servers registered with NT
