norton anti virus/no boot record

i tried running my norton and a message pops up that there is no boot record...this has never happened before...this started after i tried to uninstall limewire and java2(or something like that)...can anyone help...

Have you rebooted since the error? Uninstalling software should not touch your boot record. Especially if antivirus is installed. It suppossed to protect the boot record. Could just be a bogus error. Have a boot disk ready in case its not bogus.

I have heard great thing and horror stories about Limewire.
Did you use the Add/Remove programs option or did you just delete the folder?
You may have a bad entry now in your Registery. Do a search for Limewire and delete any references to it.
