My pc wont allow me to open any applications (.exe files) the error i resive is:
Cannot find the 'C:\Program Files\KaZaA Lite\Kazaa.exe' (or one of its com ponents). Make sure the path and filename are correct and all required libraries are available.
This happens to all of my programs execpt the explorer.exe obliously. i cannot do certain things like make a shortcut.

Open explorer, click on tools, folder options, file types tab, look to see if the install of kaza has set all *.exe files to open with kaza, if so delete that.

On a personal note, don't use kaza, or those other file sharing sites/programs, they are nuthing but virus and hacker servers.

I use KazaA everyday and successfully download movies, music, programs, and more. It is a good service, but dangerous as well. As long as you have a virus scanner that stays up-to-date, a firewall, and some knowledge of how to distinguish bogus files from real ones it can be a good service. For example, you know a movie is not going to be 4 megs. Also you can visit McaFee.com and it will tell you the files located at KaZaA which are disguised viruses. Anyway, I agree with Rick's post:
"Open explorer, click on tools, folder options, file types tab, look to see if the install of kaza has set all *.exe files to open with kaza, if so delete that"
This is definately your problem. Can you open any programs up, such as word?? If so it is not your exe files that don't work. Uninstall KazaA completely and your problem should go away.

Try the following:
1- Goto the following key,
[hkey_current_user\software\microsoft\windows\currentVersion\policies\explorer].

2- Set the value of "restrictRun" to 0.
