No Taskbar or Icons?

Hi, i just installed windows 2000 professional and i logged in for the first time and there was no taskbar or icons?? I know my friends have Windows 2000 professional and they have icons and taskbars??

you might be able to run TweakUI (download
from net) and hit the 'repair icons' in the
rightmost tab.

what does control-alt-delete show as
running processes? does a re-install cure
the problem?
