No Password for Shared Printer

I have a Windows 2000 Professional system connected to a printer on LPT1. It is being shared out on the network. People can print to it fine when they connect to it using a password, but could it be setup so that no password is needed.
What happens is that when the users shutdown for the night and come back the next day, they have to delete the printer and readd it. I know one way to fix this would be to add the same username and password on the printserver, but I don't want to use any password for this idea. Thanks.

It must be a problem in your Permissions. Change permissions on that printer to "Everyone," and you should have no problems.

Should "Everyone" be the only permission listed? I ask because "Everyone" is included in the permissions for this printer. I've noticed, however, that Windows 2K does not seperate share permissions from user permissions for printers. You can't change the share permissions for a printer by themselves, you can only change the global permissions (for share and user). That sucks, but still are you saying that the "Everyone" user should be the only user that has permissions?
