No Network ID button

I'm really sorry for the multiple postings here but just to answer some questions in advance: this computer does have a NIC and is infact serving up web pages on my LAN. I just can't join the domain. Arrrrgh!

is Client for Microsoft Networks installed on that adapter (this would not be necessery for running a web-server, but is essential for Windows-networking)
