Can anybody tell me why I keep getting this message when I am trying to access my local area network?
"No more connections can be made to this remote computer at this time because there are already as many connections as the computer can accept"
The network is intact as I can still browse through mapped shares but I cannot access any other machines on the network because of this damned message.
The only solution I have found is to reboot and that get's tiresome every 20 minutes or so. The MSDN help pages were singularly unhelpful [as usual]
Any advice appreciated

Tony ,
I think you need to increase the user limit or set the value to "maximum allowed."
please read this :http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb%3Ben-us%3B179483
hope that helps

XdriveX Thanks I read that article you referred to however I am still not sure what to do when it says:
"If the specified number of connections has been reached, increase the user limit or set the value to "maximum allowed."
How do you do this ???? It does not say how to do it. Also, is this done at the server end or the workstation? Most confusing!

If your "server" is win2k pro then the maximum number of concurrent sessions has a limit of 10. This number is set when you create a share. If you're using win2k server the number of sessions was determined by the license you purchased.

The server may be configured with Per Server licensing and the number of
licenses may be exhausted. A quick check to see if this is the problem would
be turn off the License Logging Service on the computer.http://www.wown.info/j_helmig/guidshr2.htm
