My laptop crash, I put in a new hard drive and windows
2000- pro. However I can not establish internet service as
DSL is not an option in the installation, also it is not
recognizing my cd drive. I tried to install the service pack 4
but it won't work because I need the internet. Any ideas on
how I can install internet service?

If you have DSL, then you have a DSL modem. From this modem is an Ethernet cord that plugs into your laptop. All you should have to do is plug this cable into your laptop, and bamb, you have Internet access. If that is not the case, you probably need to install the drivers for your network card. Look in device manager, and see if your network card is not recognized. If it has a yellow exclamation on it, then this is the problem. In that case, you'll need to get the drivers from some other computer, put them on a CD/floppy/flash drive and then install them on your laptop.
