Comment: when i try to run software, i get error messages: (there is no "d" drive in "My Cmputer"..just Flopp "A"..and Local Disk "C" when i try to run software through "run" on "start menu" i get this error message: "d:\ is not accessible" when i try to run software through "Add/remove programs/ Add new programs" , i get this error message: "windows was unable to find the installation program" what can i do to correct this? How can i run my software (disks)?

Reply: (edit)Did you look at the device manager to see if the CDROM is listed? If it isn't open the box and see if the wires are connected.

Reply: (edit)Do you indeed have a D drive? If so, what is it supposed to be? A second partition? CD drive? Did this start all of a sudden? A little more detail would be great.. Life is more painless for those who are brainless.
