No Backgrounds on websites...

CPU/Ram: HP Pavillion 6635, 64MB

Backgrounds on websites don't seem to be showing up, Some jpeg/gif images show up but the background is white (transparent) I think it had something to do with HTML because the backgrounds I think are HTML backgrounds. I'm using AOL 8.0, IE6, and Windows 2000 Proffesional.

Can some1 help me!?
