I just bought a Ximeta net drive to use as an extra USB drive only. I tried to format it and I think I screwed it up. Now it will not show up on My Computer. It does show up in the Control Panel Device Manager as a Mass Storage Drive, as it is supposed to. And, it shows up in another program I have but shows 0 mg.
I think it has no partitions.
How can I partition this drive? F Disk? I don't want to screw this up. I needs to be partitioned NTSF for Windows 2000. I want to copy my current C disk(20GB) to this new disk(80GB), with Acronis software.
Can I get some help on this. I am stuck.

Thanks,

Ron

first, to format it, go to disk manager in comp mng. second, if it still doesnt show up, remove any drive mappings tht you might have as it might be trying to use that letter (or manually assign it a different letter)

Pappy, I have gone over the Ximetra site with a fine tooth comb. Nothing there is helpful for my problem. I have e-mailed them but have had no response.

Dirty Sanchez,
This drive doesn't appear in Disk Manager.
(Computer Management/Storage/Disk Manager)--the only drive that shows there is my C drive.
The Mass Storage Drive that is the problem does show up in the control panel in the right places but shows 0 mg. If I can't format the drive can I partition it if I can't see it. Can I do it with an F floppy disk? Or with Partition Magic?

Thanks,

Ron
