you know when you right click on the desktop and see were it says new and it gives you a list of new file types (notepad, flash, photoshop, ext>..)
does anyone know were to go to edit them cause i have a bunch that i would like to remove from there

If you download tweakui for win 2k (a great utility that is free and is easy to use)from the following link (Read the instructions carefully as the installation method is different to most other utilities, but not difficult in any way)

After installation the link to it is listed in the control panel as (you guessed it) TweakUI. Click the "New" tab across the top and remove the offending item.
Hope this helps. Also TweakUI has many other features that make mdifying certain aspect of W2k operations
