Comment:

I have read all of the forums about using a SATA drive and installing w2k and using the f6 option. I have installed the drivers from Intel and tried every configuration of the drives in the bios that is possible. It gets to the end of the initial windows install where is asks the user to hit c to format the drive and then it restarts the install. it never formats the drive. I have only built a half dozen systems and I have never run into this much trouble before. I know I am doing something stupid, but I can't figure out what it is. Thanks for any help you can give.

Make sure you're using the latest SATA drivers for your drive, and check to make sure your BIOS is up to date.

After that, maybe start a new post and give a little more detail on the steps you're going through to do the actual install...
