netwrok problem or dns problem?

hi! new to this so plz bear with me. umm, i am having a problem with our network. sometime last week, we asuddenly cannot get any web pages. all the pcs in the network cannot get any web pages. i tried to ping http addresses and ips and all seems ok.

I guess you have problem with your DNS server doing resolution to IP. How is your dNS configured? is it forwarding to external DNS or is it doing through local routing scheme? Need more information to help you on this. If you can also ping IPs but not name, then this is defenitely resolution problems.
Summary: My active directory keeps dropping its connection to DNS. As long as I keep AD open, it works fine. However, if I close it, and don't use it for some hours, it will not load up due to a dns problem....
