Network Places - FTP as shared folder

Comment:
I have an FTP site set up as a shared folder. The address in Network Places looks like this: ftp://logon:password@24.188.215.13:69/ and it works fine by logging me into drive d: by default. There is also a drive E: on this FTP site I can access with FTP software, but I can't get it to work in Network Places. I tried the following by appending e: to the end, ftp://logon:password@24.188.215.13:69/e:/ but I get an error say I do not have permission. In my FTP software, I can say that I want e: to be the initial start directory on the host. Why does it not work in Windows2k?

Drive E: is on the FTP site. When I log on, I start off on D: by default and then want to go to E:
I can do this with FTP software.

Thanks for your comments Super P. As it turns out, the server software the guy with the FTP site was using, was choking. He gave me another port number and I am pleased to say that all is working fine now. Maybe one day I'll be as fast as you
