I got a two new Dell with Windows XP home edition. I replaced the operating system by Windows 2K Pro. I tried to change the network ID of one machine and tried to bring itto domain and it gave me this error: "Network path not found". I read a couple of recommendations on the net and followed them for the next PC and it successfully brought that machine to the domain. But, I am tried for days and days to bring the first one to domain but cannot get around the error. I reformatted the complete thingy but still no out come. Some how the PDC is remembering that machine and has some wrong enteries for this machines MAC address and giving me the same error. The PDC remembers this machine and nothing is helping me.

Did you try to delete the computer name from the domain & then re-add it?

This is as basic as you can get, but did you try to ping the PDC using the Dell. It might be something a simple as the NIC. Also check the cable. That error does not come from the PDC. It is coming from the Dell. It is basically saying I can't find anyway to get to the computer you want me to.
