Ok I give up. I have spent long hours trying to fix this Network everywhere fast ethernet 10/100 network card version 2.1 model#nc100. I downloaded the latest security updates from Microsoft and then it listed a new driver available. Silly me downloaded it and wham my network will not work at all. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers a gazillion times to no avail. I had some trouble with this card before and somebody here had an alternate driver but that was like two years ago and the post is long gone. So anyone have any ideas how to get my network back up and running? Thanks!

It might be time to replace those NIC's with new ones that are a little more well known in industry.....something like 3Com.

Same thing happened with my Network Everywhere card, just take the card out of it's slot..Replace it,then install the original driver from the floppy!! That driver from ms-updates doesn't even pertain to this nic card anyways, the ding dongs!!

I had the same experience with the Windows update. Ugh! Fortunately, I had the disk... Just to help the next "searcher"... my Network Everywhere/Linksys Fast Ethernet 10/100 Network Card Model NC100 was *incorrectly* updated to an ADMtek driver (file an983.sys) by the Windows 2000 Update software.
