Hi Guys,
I have a IBM thinkpad 600e series laptop...i am unable to log in because i get a logon error message saying " Unable to log you on because the netlogon service is not running on this machine"...i am not sure what i need to do....please help me out on this....

boot up with the 2K CD Rom and goto console and logon as the local admin.

You should get the C:> abd type in

listsrv enter, you have Netlogon stoped for some reason

C:>net logon start

You need to start netlogon as automatic..

Only if you are trying to connect to a domain....otherwise you do not need to start this service.
