When i am surfing the net i often am connected at about 45kb/s through uk2net on my laptop. I can then all of a sudden put a URL nin the address bar or click a link and i get "this page cant be displayed" message appear. This seems to then intern mean i am kicked out of MSN messenger and disconnected from my file sharing program limewire. i think that it must be a problem with a file or something on mt laptop as when i am surfing using my PC i do not ever get this problem even though i am connected using the same ISP. PLZZZZZZZZ HELP ME!!!!!!

do me this one thing. go to a command prompt and then type IPCONFIG /FLUSHDNS this will flush the resolver cache and allow you to hit those internet sites that all of a sudden disappear. the problem is this, you computer keeps a record of every place youve been by its DNS record. if a site is down or you have crappy DNS record, you guessed it, your machine remembers this and you get "page not found" or something like that. good luck AJ PS. restarting the machine will do this allso, as will stopping and restarting the DNS client service in services console.
