OS: win2000 pro
CPU/Ram: celeron? 128ram

I would like to install Norton System Works 2003 on my laptop (win2000 pro) but it tells me I have to first uninstall the Norton Antivirus Corporate Edition on my laptop (installed by a prior employer). I don't have the password to uninstall it. Can anyone help me recover the password?

You need to modify a Registry Key. Open regedt32.

Go to:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Intel\LANDesk\VirusProtect6\CurrentVersion\AdministratorOnly\Security.

Double-click on the UseVPUninstallPassword, and change that value to a 0 instead of a 1.

That'll take care of it.
