The W32.Kwbot worm nailed my computer. I have fixed the registry and used Norton to delete the virus. This means it got rid of my system32.exe file in winnt\system32. Does anyone know where/if/how I can download a replacent system32.exe file? Thanks.
System32.exe!!! mmmDa. Isn't it a perfect name to hide a Trojan horse? You must have guts to delete this guy. Well, windows doesn't have any System32.exe No wonder you can’t find this file on the Net. Ironically you’ve been looking for the virus itself. Well, you can get it free by loading the warez on Kazza. This virus mutates really fast. So, it might appear under some other fancy names. You probably got that annoying message after boot. To get rid of it remove system32.exe from Shell value at HKEY_Local_Machine\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon Explorer.exe is the only file that should remain there. Hope it helps.
