I have windows 2000 pro installed on a maxtor 80 gig hd. The problem occured while i was on the internet when suddenly my comp just shut off. After that my computer could not find my hard drive. It finds the cd rom and dvd player, but no hd. I put a different hard drive in and get the same result. i changed my mother board, memory, power supply, almost everything i could think of and guess what.... same result, anyone know why this is happening or what i can do to get out of this jam. even if u tell me a way to reformat. I have start up disks. Thanks J
