Need help on win2000

My Office 97 can be smoothly installed in the Win98 environment. When I setup this Office in the Win2000 system, coming out message said that it can not find existing components. then the installation can not preceed. Why???

Make sure that you have a full version of Office 97, not the Upgrade.

I agree,win2k pro dose not support all up grades from 95 or 98, The registary should be the be the same.You May want to create a GPO and put you Office 97 into that GPO Give full permission and share to Those user who need the application and put that image on your on your Ris server. I think from ther your end users will be able to office 97

a tip, when it asks where the previous install is, just point it to the cd that you are installing from, it can register the class from there.
