Comment: Ok I'm going to give the information I know because I don't have all the information but my friend's NEC Multisync monitor is turning off randomly after my friend turns on the computer and logs in. We went into safe mode and it said that the driver was bad for the NVIDIA TNT2 Model 64 card. We couldn't find a CD for the card, so we just updated it from safe mode and restarted. It seemed to be working fine again but then just turned off again. Could it be a power management problem? I have looked on the web for solutions but nothing...I have know clue what to do.

Reply: (edit)My NEC Multisync FE1250+ just started doing the same thing yesterday. I tried EVERYTHING! and it wouldn't quit. I tried reinstalling Nvidia forceware drivers, window's update drivers, the monitor drivers, resetting the monitor's factory settings, adjusting the refresh rate - and it continued to do it. I have no clue why, but it sounds to me like you have the exact same problem. I was using a Geforce 4 MMX, and I just swapped it out with a Nvidia TNT 64. I just did it about 10 minutes ago, and it hasn't shut off yet, but we'll see. Please post back if you find the cause for this problem. --- My monitor just shut off agin with the new card!!!! arrrggg!
