Hello! Im trying to "import" an old screen saver I had in windows 95, "Mystery". I have found mystery.scr and mystery.dll, imported both on a floppy, but all I get is a blank screen. Any ideas anyone?

Unfortunately the Mystery.scr does not appear to be compatible with a 32bit system. That was a screen saver just for Win 95 & 98.

Supposedly the .scr file would go into your C:\WINNT\ folder and the .dll would go in your C:\WINNT\System32 folder.

That screen saver didn't work properly in Win95 either. Every time the cat moved accross my screen it locked up the computer. Maybe the 32 bit compatibility was the issue. I did have all versions of Win95.

But I have that screensaver on windows ME... ANd windows ME is a 32bit system last time I checked... I do know there is a bug that messes up the screen saver password on a dual screen system, but other than that I want it :'(

It could be that your memory is too fast to support the old OS and Plus. If you load your computer with windows 95 OS first then upgrade to 98 with fast memory on a motherboard Plus is bypassed. If you have Plus on 98, leave it alone, if you want to install it on 98, don't do it. I would imagine the same is true for 2000.
