my pc keeps shutting down automatic

OS: win 2k
CPU/Ram: 3GHz

My system keeps shutting down on its own. It displays a box with a red "X", saying "system is shutting down. All work unsaved will be lost. It then counts down from 30 secs down and it shuts off at zero. I even scanned my computer for viruses.

I believe that is a known virus (Sasser Worm, maybe?). Something is sending it the command to initiate the shutdown sequence.

You can disable this shutdown by following the steps below during the countdown

Click on Start, Run
Type in CMD and press ENTER
Type in the following command and press Enter

SHUTDOWN -A
