I have about 5000 MP3's sitting on my HD...
Most of them were ripped BEFORE I purchased Musicmatch Pro 8.1...Musicmatch will play MOST of these mp3's...but NOT all of them...
It also runs slow, freezes frequently...
Occasionally successfully rips a CD, but then I may not be able to play anything back, or perhaps play some of the ripped tracks...Musicmatch support doesn't show much that seems to help...
I like the way Musicmatch handles the library, but I am thinking of something else...
Tried Winamp, but eyesight makes the small type difficult to read...
Any thoughts or ideas on...
What's causing the problems???
Other types of players to try out???
Thanx
Steve

You have to get CDex (do a search for it) it works GREAT....and its easier to use and faster then anything else i've used.......i payed for musicmatch also and have only used it 1 time since i found cdex.........u'll luv it.

Try dBpoweramp. It's free and has CD rip and file convert facilities. Most of the functions work from the right-click menu in explorer. I've been using it for almost a year and it hasn't failed to play ANY MP3 I've downloaded. You can download codecs for just about any file type I've come across. It uses very little CPU, and never locks up.
