MUP.sys hangs at boot up

Well currently I'm experiencing the same problem on a Windows 2K server.
After I replace the motherboard, the system all ways hangs on the MUP.sys file during boot up.
Even after removing PCI cards from the system, it still persists hanging on the MUP.sys.
If I remove the hard drive and place it into an older system, it boots up fine with problems what so ever. The down side to this is that the old system is to slow.
Any thoughts or recommendations for a resolution to this problem.
