I have a Toshiba Satellite Pro 4320 and have recently upgraded to Win2000. All fine apart from sound. The recommended driver from Tosh produced blips and pops. I tried a number of others and now have no sound. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling but each time I reboot it tries to install Multimedia Audio Controller. Is there anyway to get rid of this? Help!
I had the same problem with a Tosh Pro 4320. I couldn't pin-point the codec at fault, but after installing Microsoft Media Player 7.1, I got much better results from sound files and text to speech apps, even outside of MMP.
