My old MS-DOS CAD program (OrCAD 3.22) locks when I try to launch it in Windows 2000 Pro,
but it works fine in Windows 2000 Safe Mode (and within Win 9x / ME).
- I can't use Orcad for Windows (for compatibility).
- I can't use the program in a Dos-only environment (eg. dual boot mode).
- The program locks and I have to kill it.
No error messages from Windows.
- I need to use Win2000 / NT / XP.

Has anyone suggestions?

Does exist (maybe) an utility that "forces" Windows to run my program?

Thank you

How about this, go on ebay and buy an old 386 (the perfect dos machine) for $50 and just run the cad program on it.
