I can type this in Run both win ME or 98, but win 2000 doesnt work.
There must be a function similar to this.
You know where it?
Thank u!

Nope, sorry.
Windows 2000 is hte new version of NT, which never had MSConfig. There are some free utilities available, I was curious about this myself and came across "Startup Control" in Google.
http://www.mlin.net/StartupCPL.shtml
He doesn't specify that it works with W2K, but other sites recommend it. I haven't used it, I like to hack the registry.

My explanation might not be completely correect since I have Win2K in Swedish but I think you'll understand me:
Righ click my computer-Handle-System Information-Program Environment-Start Up.Another way of doing it is to go to the registry.
Start-Run-regedit-HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
Delete the entries you don't want. But BACK UP YOUR REGISTRY BEFORE ANY CHANGES! Just in case you make a mistake!!!!

you can copy that command from a box with 9x to one with 2k. be sure and put it in the right folder.

Or you could just type ipconfig instead of msconfig and get what you want. If you want to get all the ipconfig info you could go to a command prompt and type: "ipconfig /all" without the quotes

For registry access:
Microsoft recommends that you use Regedit.exe solely for its search capabilities and that you use Regedt32.exe when it is necessary to edit the registry. To start Regedt32.exe
Click Start, and then click Run.
Type Regedt32 and then click OK.
(no i)
To start Regedit.exe
Click Start, and then click Run.
Type Regedit and then click OK.For startup, etc. go to
Start/programs/administrative tools/computer management

I have been using "Startup Control" as posted by Ryan, and I can tell you that it does work in Win2k (at least in the Professional version).
Pretty much takes the place of msconfig in Win98.
