I just got the patch to fix the svchost error and my computer is running fine. But when I go to the command prompt and to a netstat it shows my computer is doing SYN_SENT to tons of IP addresses in a row...

I just did a new install and even do a service pack install. The fix from Microsoft doesnt' work unless you have at least sp2. I have to say that Microsoft is a joke and wondering if they're reaping any revenue from the worm since it looks as I am now having to order the CD to install the service pack. Has anybody been able to download sp4 directly such that if the download gets interrupted it will be able to continue from where it left off?
