MS Outlook Express (msimn.exe) problem under Windows 2000

Comment:
MS Outlook Express often starts running out of control in the background, grabbing all spare CPU cycles, and bringing my computer to its knees. I have to use the Task Manager to terminate the msimn.exe program manually. Anyone know why this is happening, so I can prevent it rather than stopping it after it starts? Thanks!

I had the same problem. I uninstalled OE completely, including manually removing its subdirectory and registry settings. Then, I installed the latest version and I haven't had a problem since.

I'm having the same problem. I'm relinquent to reinstall Outlook because I've had problems with uninstalling IE components in the past. Right now I'm killing msimn.exe using the Task manager twice a day.
