moving a folder from one disk to another

I am using the move command in a prompt under W2K to move a folder from one NTFS disk to another NTSF disk but it causes the following response 'Access is denied' And no action is taken. If the move is made on the same disk it works flawlessly.
And yes I am administrator on the machine i am working on
