Okay I have an HP Pavilion with Windows 2000 Advanced Server...(its the evaluation build for right now) EVERYTHING is working GREAT but one problem the mouse is not working. I have tried using other mouses and that doesn't make a difference. The computer sees the mouse in the boot up process and the device manager says the device is working properly...any ideas???

Try using a ps/2 to serial mouse converter. By changing ports, you will determine if that is where the problem lies. A bad port is not common but also not unheard of.
