Hello,
I don't seem to be able to find a modem driver for my Conexant SoftK56 for the Windows 2000 Operating System.

Can you help me.

I loked at the Conexant site:

http://www.conexant.com/techinfo/modems.asp

They state:

Conexant (formerly Rockwell Semiconductor Systems) does not build or sell consumer modems; we sell modem chipsets to modem manufacturers.

Drivers, other software, installation and application support, repairs and upgrades must be obtained from your modem manufacturer.

If you know who the manufacturer is, try

www.driverguide.com

If you don't know who the manufacturer is, try the vendor, study the label on the modem, take the cover off and lok at the circuit board for clues (provided it isn't under warranty) or go to System/Devices via the Windows Control Panel and check out the existing driver details. Otherwise, try a search engine for any info on the Net.

Good luck!

I have Win2k Professional and Rockwell 56k PCI modem working fine, but only 33.6k, and I don't know why, but it is better then not working. My driver is found on:
http://www.808news.com/56k/soft56.htm
If you find a driver working on 56k or a little bit slower, reply me, please.

Bye.
Al.
