I am getting the error "mmc.exe has generated errors." when I go into the Device Manager and Services. Does anyone have any idea of how to fix this?

First of all we need to know what the errors are - and mmc is referring to the Microsoft Management Counsel, which is basically the event viewer. go to start-programs-administrative tools-event viewer and check which errors you have, from here we can diagnose.
