Hi,
I'm trying to re-install win2k on my machine. I've formatted the HDD and everything seems to go fine until I try to install my video drivers.
IN device manager, there is no "display" device as normal. When I look at the desktop properties, it says I'm in VGA mode using "VGAsave". I can't update, re-install or remove this driver. I can't install my video drivers either, it tells me to put my machine into "VGA mode" so it can continue.
The thing I don'y understand is that I had win2k previously on the machine just fine. I'm thinking BIOS setting but I simply don't know.
TIA to anyone who can tell me how to fix this!!
Strug
Machine specs:
EPOX 8kta+ mobo
duron 700
256mb pc100 ram
nVidia Geforce 2mx
20Gb Fujitsu HDD
Generic s/w modem.Running win2k pro.

If you're thinking the install might be corrupted, maybe try installed SP1 or SP2 first...that might set it straight. Also try getting other versions of the driver from the manufacturer's website....
Another trick would be to remove your other cards and try loading the video card first.
