I've been having problems with my sound card, conflicts, out of range errors. I tried putting it in PCI slot five and the plug-and-play gets the same error: "missing emu10klf.sys file." Has anyone had this problem with their SB Live card and Win 2000?

Thank you profusely..

SB Live is one of the best sound cards to use on Win2K. You have something else going wrong.

Try completely deleting the sound drivers and anything related to the sound card.

Make sure the SB Live card is pushed completely into whatever slot you are using and then reboot the computer. Windows will find and install that bugger. (That's tech talk)

I have no idea what your system is, so I am presumming that you DO NOT have onboard sound, on that motherboard. If you do, it has to be turned off first.

It is saying the drivers are either not completely loaded or are not the right ones.Try downloading the newest drivers and installing them.
