Comment:

Windows 2000 Pro won't start and gives me error: missing or corrupt \winnt\system32\drivers\pci sys. I tried to copy from CD ROM using the repair option, but the disk is not recognised (get message 'setup cannot access CD containing the Windows 2000 installation files'). I have a copy of 'drivers' folder on another partition (D drive), can I copy from there and how? Thanks for help!

Yes !!!
At startup, press F8 key and choose "Safe mode".

Tooks a long time to start in this mode.

When windows has completely been started in safe mode, open "My Computer" and go to the folder, where you stored a copy of PCI.SYS.
Press CTRL+C
Go to drive C:\WinNT\system32
Press CTRL+V

Restart windows.
