My pc keeps on displaying this error message i have tried to reinstall windows 2000 but I cannot access the CD from the CD ROM could you please get me some one who is knowledge able enough and send me the chronological remedy by e-mail so that I can rectify the problem thanks. FOR TROUBLE SHOOTING AND ADVANCED START UP OPTIONS FOR WINDOWS 2000 PRESS F8.DISKO
windows 2000 could not start because the following file is missing or corrupt <windows 2000 root>\system 32\ntos krnl.exe

yikes,
but just a suggestion, have you let hijack this or spybot delete anything lately? sounds like you lost a crucial kernal app.
