Missing Hard Drive Space

I have a Windows 2000 Terminal Server with Citrix -and I don't know if either of those factors are the cause-, but anyway, I am missing hard drive space.
When you look at the properties of the hard drive, almost all 4gb of the C: drive are full.
However, if I highlight everything in the C: drive and look at the properties of the files/folders they only account for about 2gbs.
I have folder options set to show all files, I have moved the spooler to the other partition and the swap file is also on the 2nd partition.
So, my question is... Where is that other 2gbs? It’s just missing and it’s causing me an obvious problem.
Any thoughts are appreciated!

Thanks

What partition type is the drive formatted in? FAT16, FAT32, NTFS?

FAT16 only supprts up to 2 GB per partition.

I am also using XP Pro with the NTFS file system on an 18 GB hard drive. For some reason I'm missing about 5 gigs. Is this being set aside as a buffer or virtual memory?

HA! I had the same problem and just figured it out.

My laptop running XPPro/NTFS was missing more than 1.5 gigs on a 20Gb drive.
In my case, it was Norton Protected Recycle Bin that was saving all my deleted files in case I wanted to restore them.

Dunno if this is the case for anyone else, but if it is, just right-click on the Recycle Bin and trash the Norton Protected Files!!!

Hope this helps someone.
